The Post
Stirling Law School wishes to appoint two suitably qualified Teaching and Research (T&R) Lecturers, one in Scots Private Law and the other in Scots Public Law. A knowledge of the relevant area of Scots Law is essential for these posts and a Scots Law LLB or a professional qualification in Scots Law is very desirable. One of the posts has a Scots Private Law focus (with a need to teach on the Scots Law of Obligations in the first year courses of Contract and Delict) whereas the other post has a Scots Public Law focus (with a need to teach the first year course on Scots Public Law and Scottish Legal System). Both post holders will have to deliver core LLB courses that must meet the requirements of the Law Society of Scotland. The appointees would be expected to contribute to a successful submission to REF 2029 and be an active part of one or more of the School’s research clusters (Environmental Law and Climate Justice, Human Rights Law, Private International Law and Arbitration, and Scots Law).
