The Mathematics & Mathematics Education Department (MME) invites applicants with an earned doctorate and research portfolio in Mathematics Education, Statistics, Science of Learning (SoL) and/or Neuroeducation for Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor (with or without tenure) position. This is an excellent opportunity for outstanding scholars to engage in a dynamic department to advance our education and research goals.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in a relevant field (Mathematics Education, Statistics, Science of Learning (SoL), Neuroeducation)
  • Strong record of publications in reputable, peer-reviewed international journals
  • Demonstrated excellence in grant leadership as a Principal Investigator (PI)
  • Proven excellence in teaching at the university level
  • Expertise in Science of Learning/Neuroeducation for research
  • Expertise in Statistics for both research and teaching
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven leadership of diverse, multicultural teams
  • Understanding and enthusiasm for working in Singapore and Asia, with a cultural appreciation for the region 

Additional Requirements for Full/Associate Professor:

  • High research impact in Mathematics Education, Statistics, SoL, or Neuroeducation
  • Proven track record of grant awards, including being the PI of large-scale research projects (For Full Professor: at least USD 1 million in grants received)

Responsibilities:

This position involves the development and teaching of curriculum and courses, and the development and conduct of research in the Mathematics Education, Statistics, Science of Learning (SoL) and/or Neuroeducation. A successful candidate will be involved in:

  • Curriculum development and teaching
  • Supervision and mentorship
  • Research and development
  • Knowledge transfer and collaboration
  • For Full/Associate Professor: community and professional development, international engagement, strategic leadership, and communication
