The Design HOPES project is seeking an experienced Creative Producer to lead the development and delivery of a high-impact research exhibition and public engagement programme. This role combines project management, exhibition production, stakeholder coordination, legacy planning, and agile problem-solving. It is ideal for someone who can evidence a strong track record in producing exhibitions and public programmes in research, design, or cultural contexts.

In the role of producer, you will liaise across a wide network of collaborators including project co-directors, academic researchers, communications teams, museum staff as well as technical and logistics teams. You'll maintain stakeholder relationships, oversee contracts and manage delivery timelines, while aligning logistics with curatorial content strategies.

You'll be part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team working at the intersections of design research, healthcare, and environmental sustainability. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring on-site presence during setup as well as coordination and troubleshooting during install and live events. Your priorities will include:

  • Project & Exhibition management, managing timelines, budgets, workflows and team meetings.
  • Stakeholder facilitation, coordination & production monitoring.
  • Preparation and delivery of impact evaluation and reporting.
  • Public programme development and legacy planning.

Who we're looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience in producer roles within exhibitions, public engagement, or creative industries.
  • Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, contracts, and multi­ stakeholder coordination.
  • Demonstrated experience working with academic institutions, creative teams, or public sector organisations.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with a confident ability to negotiate, manage, and maintain positive relationships.
