Senior Lecturer in Business and Management

Full time: 35 hours per week

The School of Business and Creative Industries is seeking applications from individuals to join the Division of Management, Operations and People as a Senior Lecturer in Business and Management at our London Campus. We welcome applications from experienced academics who can enhance our local, national and international profile. You will join a dedicated team who strives to continuously inspire our students and the wider University community – and, through modern teaching and impactful research, continue to deliver innovative solutions to some of the world’s biggest challenges. You will be passionate about your subject, influence change and will contribute to the development of your respected discipline.

The successful applicant will be based on the London Campus of the University of the West of Scotland.The campus has experienced significant growth and success in recent years, with a thriving portfolio in business and management. As a result of this continued growth, we are continuing to make a significant investment in academic posts to support both our students and our strategic development.

This specific Senior Lecturer post is expected to provide leadership support for BA (Hons) International Business programme in the first place, though will also contribute to other programmes as required.

The successful candidate should have the following:

  • Degree and relevant PhD qualification or equivalent qualification
  • Substantial experience of leading learning, influencing teaching and assessment within Higher Education
  • Extensive experience of and delivery to different class sizes
  • Extensive experience of Business and Management module development, and programme development and delivery
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and supporting an outstanding student experience for students.
  • Appropriate evidence of external engagement in terms of research, knowledge exchange, or engagement with professional bodies or other external organisations
  • Commitment to delivering high quality teaching and supporting an outstanding student experience.
  • Evidence of line management experience and effective team leadership
