The University of Leeds and Morvern Group Ltd. have an exciting opportunity for a high-calibre graduate to lead a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project to develop and embed AI-driven machine vision for automated ceramic CNC machining, enhancing efficiency and precision in aerospace and industrial gas turbine manufacturing.
This role will be based at the Morvern Group Ltd, Morvern House, Denby Hall Business Park, Ormonde Drive, Derby, DE5 8LE working with the School of Mechanical Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Science at the University of Leeds.
This role offers a unique opportunity to apply cutting-edge AI driven 3D scanning and CNC automation research to a high-precision machining industrial setting, working at the intersection of academia and manufacturing innovation. As a KTP Associate, you will lead the development of AI-based defect detection and correction solutions, driving automation and quality improvements in precision engineering.
