Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy (Ref.: 531705), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or higher in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science, or a STEM-related field, and being a registered pharmacist in Hong Kong is preferred. Those with a PhD degree and experience in curriculum development, assessment design, and student supervision would be advantageous. They must exhibit expertise in dosage form design, pharmaceutical formulation, industrial topics, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, pharmacovigilance, or equivalent professional experience. Ideally a minimum of 2 years of experience in a tertiary education setting, the pharmaceutical industry, or a related field is required. Strong management and interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to engage effectively with both students and industry partners.
The appointee will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and assessment in pharmaceutics and related subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Key duties include delivering lectures, leading practical sessions, contributing to curriculum development, and actively fostering collaboration through knowledge exchange and industry liaison. Moreover, the appointee will play a leading role in coordinating students’ experiential learning opportunities with industrial partners, serving as the primary liaison between students and stakeholders to facilitate meaningful learning experiences. The position also involves supervising undergraduate research projects and providing academic guidance to students. This role is well suited for a dedicated individual who is passionate about shaping the future of pharmacy education and inspiring the next generation of pharmacists. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
