THE ROLE

The post holder will plan and organise food and service delivery, to ensure that the department’s day-to-day standards are maintained and enhanced. They will be required to support their line manager in forward planning of the delivery of service. At times the role will include providing support to other catering units to meet the needs of the department.

The post holder will support the menu planning process and be fully aware of catering industry trends and best practice. The post holder will order day-to-day stock and minimise food wastage. The role will be required to maintain all necessary documentation required.

The post will involve interaction with customers, and the flexibility to support the catering team in delivering an efficient, customer-focused, front-facing catering service.

• Annual leave entitlement is 28 days’, plus 8 bank holidays and 4 University closure days pro rata
