About the Role
The School of Engineering and Materials Science is home to the Centre for Research in Engineering and Materials Education (CREME). CREME was established to develop activities in Scholarship of Teaching and Learning to support the School contribute to Queen Mary’s Strategy 2030, “be the most inclusive and diverse Russell Group University and ensure that anyone who is able to flourish at Queen Mary can join us, irrespective of their background”.
We are looking for applicants with experience in delivering core engineering skills education and with capability to contribute to technical modules in one or more of our engineering disciplines.
Individuals should have strong pedagogical expertise in the design and delivery of education to a diverse student population at undergraduate and taught postgraduate levels and are also particularly interested in individuals with experience or interest in educational leadership. The post has a substantial involvement in educational delivery with 25% allocated time for scholarship, in which an emphasis on engineering skills pedagogy is expected.

This post is within the School of Engineering and Materials Science, a large School with over 100 academics. There are around 1700 undergraduate and taught postgraduate students and over 150 PhD students within our London operation, supported by an administrative and technical staff of around 45.
