About the Role
The Department of Civil and Construction Engineering are seeking a qualified academic to join the team and undertake teaching and research activities in areas related to transport engineering, including transport modelling, road engineering, intelligent transport systems, smart urban infrastructure, sustainable transport and digital engineering.
In this role, you will contribute to the teaching programs of the Department at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, which includes developing and supporting academic programs and working with the academic team in the development of program change and innovation. You will also be responsible for providing mentoring and support to students on academic matters, and supervising Honours and Masters by Coursework students.
As the Senior Lecturer, you will work in a collaborative team environment to develop new areas of research and contribute to the University’s research excellence and impact in partnership with external partners. The primary research expectation of the position is to make original and innovative contributions to the advancement of future urban infrastructure and development of disruptive interventions and technologies that will enable step-changes in emerging and future civil engineering practices. Experience or interest in data analytics, machine learning, and digital mapping would be beneficial in supporting our vision.
