The University of Lucerne is a modern, personal and dynamic human sciences university at the heart of Switzerland and Europe. In keeping with our guiding principle ‘Moving Human Sciences’, we focus on people and their institutions with our six faculties and two academies, soon to be joined by two university research centres. Our aim is to develop the University of Lucerne into a pioneering, internationally visible centre for research and teaching in the human sciences.
The Faculty of Economics and Management opened its doors in the autumn semester of 2016. Exceptional supervision of students, interactive forms of teaching, close links between academia and practice, a focus on current issues in political economics, management and data sciences, and a young, motivated team all give this faculty a unique profile.
As of February 1, 2026, or by agreement, the Faculty of Economics and Management is looking to fill the following position
Assistant Professorship in Organizational Behavior with Tenure Track (75-100%)
The field “Organizational Behavior” is broadly understood. In particular, it covers all issues relating to human behavior in organizational contexts. For this position, a focus on experimental and quantitative research is favored. The successful candidate will be an active representative of the field in both research and teaching.
We are looking for a researcher at an early stage of the career with a promising international research profile who holds a PhD in Business Administration (or related fields, such as personnel economics) by the time of appointment at the latest and a promising research agenda in the field of “Organizational Behavior”. A willingness to acquire a working knowledge of German within a reasonable timeframe is expected.
The Faculty of Economics aims to increase the proportion of women in research and teaching. Therefore, qualified female researchers are especially encouraged to apply. In the interest of better compatibility between professional and family life, the position can also be filled on a part-time basis (75% minimum).
