The successful applicants will undertake research, under the supervision of Prof Sanjay Sharma, Prof Michael Papadakis and Dr Gherardo Finocchiaro in inherited cardiac diseases, sports cardiology and cardiac screening. You will also support the CRY screening services, as well as receive clinical training in inherited cardiac conditions, sports cardiology and cardiac imaging.
The successful applicants will be supported by research fellow grants sponsored by the charitable organisation Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). The posts offer the opportunity to conduct exciting research projects in order to gain a higher research degree (MDres or PhD).
Applicants should be clinically qualified with ALS and MRCP. They should ideally have a specialty interest in imaging and arrhythmias and experience of working with families with inherited cardiac conditions. Enthusiasm and self-motivation are essential for the post. The successful applicant should be able to work independently, but will also be flexible and a good team member.
