The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to support two Principal Investigators (PIs) and project co-leads, together with partner organisations based overseas, with high-level project coordination and financial issues. The post-holder will have overall administrative management and financial responsibility for two projects, funded by NIHR: Nurture4Youth and DIYENI Dx at LSHTM.
Applicants must possess substantial experience of providing proactive administrative support of academic / global health research and of managing large complex grants with multiple partners across multiple countries, as well as experience in compiling regular funder reports.
Applicants must have higher education to degree level or equivalent or substantial relevant experience, and ideally have certified training in high-level project coordination/management. Experience of working with NIHR would be advantageous.
The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and fixed term until 30 June 2028. The post is funded by the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) and is available from 01 May 2025.
The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 5 in the range £39,432 - £45,097 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM and will include some overseas travel to partner organisation countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
