About the role
The Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering is looking to appoint a full-time Associate Professor (Teaching) in Robotics. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will take up the position by the start of the first term of the 2025-26 academic year.
The purpose of this post is to lead the Department in undergraduate teaching in topics related to Robotics. This will include running a series of modules, laboratories and design projects in the broad area of Robotics, using core Electronic Engineering principles in sensor systems (data acquisition), control theory, digital electronics and programming microprocessors as well as covering systems integration aspects. The post holder will be expected to work occasional flexible hours to suit the needs of the role e.g. they may be required to work in the evening and/or weekends to support events run by the Department. The appointee is required to successfully complete the UCL Centre for Advancing Learning and Teaching Arena 2 training programme, which leads to a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), unless they possess an appropriate qualification providing exemption from this requirement.
