We are recruiting a Business Administrative Assistant, NIHR BioResource for Translational Research to join our small but busy team. This newly created role will assist the Business Team with HR and office administration duties and processes. This includes maintaining and updating holiday and sickness records, scheduling meetings and providing a basic reception service. You will need to be competent in standard software packages (Microsoft Office) and have a good understanding of confidentiality and data protection (GDPR) to succeed in this role.

About the job:
The role will help ensure the smooth running of our day-to-day administration operations, including general HR administration such as processing sickness, special leave and annual leave requests, updating staff records, coordinating induction and appraisal meetings, processing general human resources and office administration enquiries, and general reception duties.
The role holder will respond to general enquires in the HR Mailbox or on Teams and help to schedule meetings such as for new staff inductions and staff appraisals.
To be successful in this role, you ideally should:
- have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
- naturally work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- possess some experience in general administration
- be familiar with Microsoft Office applications; mainly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- relish working both independently and as part of a small team

Our offices are on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus CB2 0QQ (approximately 2 miles south of the city centre).
