The University of Southampton has an established and growing experience in the design and delivery of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Lifelong Learning materials. This includes a range of defined and bespoke courses covering diverse subjects from executive business training to healthcare professional development to training in software engineering to humanities courses.
Research and Innovation Services (RIS) support academic and research staff fulfil their research and enterprise objectives by providing expert advice and assistance in research funding, bid support and management, collaborations with industry and other strategic partners. The University has established a CPD Hub within RIS to enable the growth of CPD activity and provide a consistent and excellent CPD & Lifelong Learner experience for external partners and audiences.
We are therefore recruiting a Senior Administrator to join our new CPD Hub. You will be part of a dedicated hub team that is responsible for the coordinated administration and delivery of non-credit bearing and credit-bearing CPD courses, as well as supporting registration, payment, reporting, and management of course delivery via a Virtual Learning Environment.
You will be IT literate and have excellent communication skills, be well-organised with the ability to multi-task and to work well as part of a busy and successful team. You will be a self-starter and enjoy the challenge of making things happen in a fast-moving environment. You will have strong office experience in a customer-focused environment. Experience in working in a similar capacity within the Higher Education sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
