The School of Health & Life Sciences are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative professionally registered/accredited individual with a PhD (or nearing completion) who has experience within one or more of the fields of nursing, midwifery and allied health, including psychology. We specifically welcome applications from people who have worked, clinically or academically, in any of the following areas: midwifery and maternal care, children and young people, or child development, who have experience of academic practice, supervision of students and team leadership.
As a Senior Lecturer, you will share academic leadership and management for the Division, including line management. You will take a lead role in either the design, development, and delivery of a range of undergraduate and postgraduate academic programmes within the division, engaging in academic quality assurance and enhancement activity such as to ensure high standards and regulatory/ professional body compliance (if appointed as a Senior Lecturer), or a lead role in the design development and delivery of research and commercial activity aligned the school and university’s agenda and associated REF Unit of Assessments (if appointed as a Reader). Thus, experience of learning and teaching in higher education with a desire to develop, innovative methods to enhance the student experience across our programmes, or evidence of a sustained track record of research publications and income generation are essential.
A professional registration/accreditation, such as the NMC or HCPC, is essential for this post.
