We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our dynamic team in the Applied Research and Engineering Centre, within the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. This exciting role forms part of a forward-looking research programme focused on natural language-based knowledge extraction and modelling for document processing in the financial technology sector.
The postholder will work closely with academic and industry partners to develop methods and software tools that support advanced document analysis. This includes contributing to the design and development of research software prototypes, promoting research outcomes through high-quality publications and conferences, and supporting funding proposal development.
The role offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate in a multidisciplinary research environment, engage with cutting-edge AI and knowledge engineering techniques, and contribute to impactful innovation in the fintech domain.
