This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lawyer with charities or sector experience, to work within the Secretary’s Division as a valuable member of the legal team.
The successful appointee will specifically support the School in achieving its ambitious objectives relating to academic partnerships, corporate engagement, alumni and philanthropic engagement providing specific and particular support, advice and assistance to the dedicated and enthusiastic Philanthropy and Global Engagement Division (PAGE).
Essential skills include: A sound understanding of the law combined with the ability and confidence to apply legal principles and deliver accurate and clear advice on a wide range of issues, including charities and trust law, information rights, equality law, general contract and commercial matters; highly developed verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills, with demonstrable ability to explain complex matters in a clear, concise and easily understood way and a clear appreciation of confidentiality and personal data issues; proven ability to prioritise and make decisions whilst working under pressure, at pace and on a diverse workload often to tight deadlines. The successful appointee will need to demonstrate approachability and a strong ability to build good working relationships and liaise effectively with a range of colleagues, stakeholders, and external personnel.
