The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama is seeking to appoint an experienced librarian to lead an efficient and high-quality library service that effectively supports learning, teaching and research across the institution.
The role holder will act as the point of authority with respect to library and learning services and will be the most senior professional librarian within the institution. They will have a proven track-record in managing and enhancing a library service within a higher education setting and will make a lead contribution to the formulation and implementation of the School’s Library Strategy, in support of its mission to inspire, educate and train the artistic and cultural change-makers of tomorrow.
Working with colleagues across the Academic Registry and Faculty, the role holder will also support the ongoing design and development of the use of learning technologies across its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a highly regarded library and learning service within a small and specialist acting and theatre arts conservatoire, and to influence through this role its future strategic and operational direction.
