About the Role

Leeds City College is seeking a dedicated Programme Manager for Health, Science, and Social Care to lead and support the delivery of high-quality education, ensuring student success, retention, and achievement. In this role, you will manage curriculum planning, assessment strategies, and quality assurance processes while fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment. You will also be responsible for setting and tracking learner targets, developing resources, and supporting student progression.

What You Will Do

• Lead activities in the development and delivery of strategies to improve retention, achievement, success and attendance rates for groups of learners.
• Plan and deliver quality teaching across identified cohorts and ensure consistency of high delivery within teams.
• Plan, prepare and develop schemes of learning, teaching and learning resources and assessment plans and ensure these are in place for all the course(s) teaching activity.
• Help to ensure all team members maintain and update knowledge of all mandatory training and subject areas.
• Develop and adapt curriculum delivery with the course team to maximise its effectiveness and efficiency.
• Be responsible for recording student progress and meeting individual and group learner targets.
• Line management of a small team.
• Provide productive insight into the review process and development of identified courses.
• Ensure deadlines are met and progress in achieving results from learners and team members.
• Make sense of complex issues, identify and solve problems and to think on one’s feet.
