Candidates should
- For the Professor and Associate Professor posts, hold a PhD degree in English Language Teaching or Applied Linguistics, with extensive experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in English Language and/or Linguistics and/or Education.
- For the Assistant Professor, hold a PhD degree in English Language Teaching or Applied Linguistics, with some experience at least at undergraduate in English Language and/or Linguistics and/or Education.
- For the Lecturer position, hold a Master degree in a Applied Linguistics or TESOL-related area.
- Have proven record of teaching excellence, and relevant experience in teaching IELTS, EAP, ESP and content-based courses at tertiary level.
- Have excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
(Lecturer-Professor, depending on level of appointment) include:
- Teaching English for Academic Purposes courses (including IELTS)
- Teaching language-related content courses
- Designing language learning materials (curriculum development)
- Hosting workshops and seminars on specific topics in English
- Reviewing and revising administrative documents and publications
- Tutoring and consultation
- Administrative assignments
- Completing other related work assigned by J-BJI.
