The Role

Jointly led by the Department of Psychology and the Department of Education, the newly established Professional Doctorate in Educational Psychology (D.Ed.Psych.) at Maynooth University is a postgraduate professional programme designed to develop highly skilled, ethical, and reflective educational psychologists. The programme is grounded in Maynooth University's core values, with a strong emphasis on equality, diversity, and inclusion. We are seeking two excellent academics to join our staff as Assistant Professors/Lecturers in Educational Psychology. The persons appointed will have a proven record of teaching, research and publication, appropriate to career stage. They will be expected to make a strong contribution to the Professional Doctorate in Educational Psychology including the supervision of postgraduate students in their research and work-based placement.
The appointees will be expected to build a strong research profile, that supports the University’s research strategy including affiliating to the Research Institutes, where appropriate and working with colleagues on national and international research. The appointees will be expected to sustain and conduct research, engage in scholarship of quality and substance and generate publications of international standard.
