This is an exciting opportunity for two motivated In Vivo professionals to make a full contribution to the scientific outputs of our researchers and collaborators whilst developing new skill sets. We are seeking two candidates to join our team as a Senior In-Vivo Animal Technician. The post holders will liaise with researchers to provide support for their research needs whilst managing day-to-day care routines to the highest standard. The post will help plan resourcing to include allocation and prioritisation of duties and identifying when additional staff support may be required. There will also be the opportunity to support the research staff by performing regulated scientific procedures essential to all research which will require a personal Home Office licence.
We promote a strong culture of care both for our staff and the animals under our charge. The successful candidates will work with the 3R's ethos (for reproducible and ethical research, that has open, fair, and inclusive communication with focus on compassion and respect) and be responsible for the care and welfare of small rodent cancer models housed within the facility and help with maintaining a good standard of hygiene.
