The role
The CDT Administrator post offers an excellent opportunity for a well-organised and proactive administrator to join our CDT Centre for Doctoral Training in Cyber Security.
The administrator role is key to supporting the delivery of our CDT operations and offers a varied workload with a wide range of internal and external academic and professional services contacts.
A flexible approach to changing priorities and being reactive to challenges faced throughout the year is vital to support the programme.

What will you be doing?
You will work closely with the CDT manager and academic directors.
You will be the first point of contact for enquiries.
You will help administer the taught units, prepare marks for exam boards, arrange progress monitoring, and processes for students in the research phase.
You will organise and support research events such as our Summer Schools, advisory board meetings, welcome week and industry placements.
You will also be help with purchasing goods and services.
There will be some web page creating and editing as part of the role.
You will service the CDT Management Board and other meetings.
You should apply if
You have experience as a resourceful, well-organised and flexible administrator with excellent attention to detail and you are able to turn your hand to a variety of different tasks. The ability to take responsibility, prioritise and manage your workload to meet competing deadlines is essential.
You have excellent proven customer service skills and fluent written and verbal communication skills to confidently communicate with the Centre Director, Manager, supervisors, PhD students, applicants, the wider academic and professional services teams and external stakeholders involved in delivery of the CDT.
You have experience of using Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn university systems including ERP and eVision.
