We are seeking an Opportunities Manager who can proactively engage with external actors and organisations (including employers, alumni, parents, and friends of the university) to source career development opportunities for students in the Business School.
The post holder will be expected to account manage relationships with employers across a wide range geographical areas, with a focus on regions and sectors that are of most interest to our current and potential incoming students. Through these relationships, they will aim to enhance the range of opportunities we can offer to our students such as events, internships, graduate jobs, and experiential learning.
The post holder will collaborate closely with colleagues in the Opportunities Team within the Careers Centre to avoid duplication of effort, whilst following Business School guidance to maximise impact for its students. Their priorities will also be informed by trends in the student and graduate recruitment landscapes.
Candidates for the role should be educated to degree level, have well developed knowledge of the graduate labour market, and be confident in their relationship management skills.

This post will be based between two locations: the Eden Campus at Guardbridge, a state-of-the-art working environment for professional services units, and the Career Centre at 6 St Mary’s Place, St Andrews. Hybrid working arrangements are available, with the expectation that the postholder spends a minimum of 50% of their time on site.
