The Opportunity
This post represents an exciting academic opportunity to work at Keele University. The School of Allied Health Professionals and Pharmacy one of three Schools in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. It offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes that combine aspects of active living, rehabilitation, and sport and sciences. With excellent facilities and a team of lecturers, practitioners and researchers, the School aims to produce graduates who can address contemporary health challenges and contribute to the advancement of sport and exercise sciences.
We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic lecturer who has teaching and supervision experience in sport and exercise biomechanics. The successful applicant will contribute to our BSc Sport and Exercise Science and BSc Exercise and Rehabilitation programmes and help build the curricula in line with the University's strategic plan.
The successful candidate will have relevant subject knowledge and expertise, and ideally a recognised teaching qualification (S/FHEA) and a relevant professional practice qualification (e.g. BASES Accreditation).
You will hold a PhD/Doctorate in Sport and Exercise Science and have teaching experience in modules related to Biomechanics. Experience of module design, module leadership and research interests that align with the research areas within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences’ Active Living and Sport Cluster at Keele University would be a distinct advantage.
