We are looking to appoint a Research Assistant in Anatomy for a 6-month period at the University of Liverpool, Human Anatomy Resource Centre (HARC) for a start as soon as possible. This role will be part of a wider FACEDIFF project funded as part of a European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator Grant project FACEDIFF - “Individual differences in facial expressivity: social function, facial anatomy and evolutionary origins” awarded to Professor Bridget Waller, Nottingham Trent University.
Applications are invited from graduates with anatomical dissection and research skills that have experience in human dissection. The RA will conduct facial dissections on human cadaveric material and macaque samples at the Human Anatomy Resource Centre (HARC) at the University of Liverpool, working closely with collaborator and craniofacial anatomy expert, Dr Claire M. Tierney. The post-holder will also examine existing MRI databases to measure the presence and form of facial muscles.
As part of your role, it will be expected that you will work closely with the University of Liverpool PI (Principal Investigator), Dr Claire M. Tierney on a daily basis and the HARC technical team on campus, as well as contributing to the larger and wider FACEDIFF group as required.
This post is fixed term until 31st October 2025.
