This is a fixed term appointment until 31 August 2027.
The expected start date of this post is August 2025.
The Department of Sociology is seeking a full-time Course Tutor to give lectures, seminars, and class teaching at postgraduate and undergraduate level. You will contribute to the scholarship and intellectual life of the LSE by conducting teaching, which will enhance the School’s high reputation as a research-led teaching institution.
You will have a completed PhD in Sociology or a closely related social science discipline by the start date of this post.
You will have experience teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as teaching in the social analysis of cultural processes and the sociology of gender and sexuality. You should have a developing record of publications in referred journals in the areas of the social analysis of cultural processes and the sociology of gender and sexuality, alongside research interests in the social analysis of cultural processes and in the sociology of gender and sexuality. You will possess a commitment of high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students. You will have the ability to relate your specialist work to the context of a Sociology Department within a social science institution. A commitment to equality and diversity is essential.
