About the role
Bournemouth University is a vibrant and international institution and core to our vision is an excellent staff and student experience. We have an opportunity for an exceptional person to join our Marketing & Communications directorate within our Events team.
You will be responsible for planning, organising and delivering a range of activities throughout the year, from our large undergraduate recruitment events and Graduation, to research conferences and awards events.
This is a varied and interesting opportunity that requires experience of undertaking a range of small, medium and large events. You will possess exceptional event operational and logistical skills; be a strong communicator, able to communicate effectively and appropriately with staff at all levels and with both internal and external stakeholders. You must be comfortable working in a large complex environment, with excellent administration and IT skills, good attention to detail and a flexible approach. Experience in running online events would be an advantage.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced event professional to work within an educational environment.

Our Marketing & Communications department is made up of experts in student recruitment, design, digital, PR, market research and more, all of whom work to support BU’s strategic plan. We work with senior stakeholders to influence recruitment targets and support the university in shaping our portfolio to optimise recruitment. We embed effective internal communications activity throughout the University to ensure academic and professional services staff are well equipped and informed.
