As a Senior Lecturer, you will be expected to contribute to the subject leadership at module and course levels, managing module and course teams to deliver student outcomes. Further, you will contribute to design and development of curriculum in-line with market trends and cutting-edge within the subject.
You will be expected to support teaching and learning for undergraduate/postgraduate modules, provide pastoral care to students, engage in cutting-edge research, and contribute to recruitment and outreach activities. You will develop and deliver engaging teaching and learning as a member of the cybersecurity team in a variety of settings from small group tutorials to large lectures. You will also set and mark assessments providing timely and constructive feedback to students.
You will possess core cybersecurity skillset with strong experience of teaching at university level within different topics of cybersecurity. You will also have a proven track record of publishing research articles at reputable venues and an ability to develop research proposals to seek external funding. You will be passionate about supporting students through their educational journey and keen to learn and adopt inclusive practices to engage with students from diverse abilities and backgrounds.
For this role we will consider applicants with core cyber security skills and knowledge, expertise in Cyber Physical Systems, Digital Forensics, Machine Learning and AI. Membership of a professional bodies (such as the BCS, the IET, ISACA or ISC2), industry-recognised certifications, and professional registration (such as CITP or CEng) is also beneficial.
