This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to the History research and finance team by providing high level financial support to the Head of Department and the Head of Administration, leading a small team of Research Centres Co-ordinators and supporting the Director of Research and Director of Impact with relevant research administration.
This would be an ideal opportunity for a candidate wishing to develop their financial and research administrative skills in a successful academic department at the University of Warwick.
The Department of History seeks to appoint a pro-active Departmental Co-ordinator (Finance/Research), on a permanent basis as soon as possible.
The post holder will be responsible for the development and management of all aspects of financial administration and reporting in relation to the department’s finances, focusing in particular on management of budgets, including live research grant budgets and all day-to-day financial operations. In addition, the post holder will provide high level support to the Director of Research and Director of Impact and will play a significant part in the preparations for REF 2029.
The post holder will also lead a small research team and oversee the work of two part-time Research Centres Co-ordinators by focusing on improving processes and procedures.
