This is an exciting opportunity to join an internationally leading research team working to understand the mechanisms causing obesity and find and test new weight loss treatments.
The Principal Research Nurse will work as part of an established team overseeing all clinical research activities and providing nursing support for experimental medicine studies and clinical trials led by Professor Sadaf Farooqi. They will be responsible for managing and coordinating training for nurses, co-ordinators, research assistants and administrators on areas to include document development, recruitment, sample collection, data entry and providing clinical support to ensure high quality clinical research. Applicants must have a professional nursing qualification and significant post-registration research experience in performing clinical studies in Obesity. Advanced knowledge of research methodology, ethics and research governance of clinical studies is essential. Experience in both experimental medicine studies and clinical trials is essential.

The funding supporting this position is available until end of March 2028 in the first instance.
