Do you want to make a real difference to the higher education sector by improving student experience and influencing change? Are you skilled in developing a small team to provide training and engagement activities to diverse audiences in a professional and collaborative way?
We are looking for a Higher Education Training and Engagement Manager who will be a key point of contact between our organisation and higher education providers, students and student representative bodies.
Position: Higher Education Training and Engagement Manager (internally known as Outreach Manager)
Location: Hybrid/Reading (a minimum of one day a week in the office, more office attendance will be needed during probation)
Hours: Full-time (open to part time, a minimum 28 hours a week)
Closing Date: 10:00am, 31st March 2025
Interviews: Week commencing 28 April 2025. These will be in-person interviews at the Reading office.
About the Organisation

It works towards this by resolving complaints from students, sharing learning from complaints to help improve policies and practices at higher education providers, and working with other organisations in the higher education sector and beyond.
About the Role
The Outreach Manager is responsible for ensuring that the team deliver on the strategic objective of improving student experiences and influencing change in the higher education sector by organising a range of outreach activities.
These outreach activities include managing a small team to deliver in-person and remote training and awareness sessions with higher education providers and student representatives. You will have to play an active role in the preparation and delivery of these sessions and must be comfortable with public speaking and facilitating audience discussions. This will involve occasional travel to higher education providers in England and Wales.
About You
You will have knowledge and an understanding of the higher education sector and be comfortable analysing complex information from different sources and producing recommendations for action and tailoring this for different audiences.
