About the Role
The Research Assistant will join a CSP funded programme seeking to develop a Core Outcome Set for Vertebral Fragility Fracture care. They will support: 1) the development and implementation of a scoping review to synthesise the evidence on outcomes employed for vertebral fragility fracture; 2) the development and implementation of qualitative studies of healthcare professionals and researchers who support people with vertebral fragility fracture and people with vertebral fragility fracture; 3) the development and implementation of a Delphi consensus process to determine the outcomes to be prioritised for people living with vertebral fragility fracture; and 4) involvement and engagement with our partner Public and Patient Involvement group ‘TROOP’ with regular meetings to discuss the research project.
About You
You hold undergraduate and postgraduate (MSc) degrees in health research or a related field or equivalent experience and are interested in being involved in all aspects of undertaking a funded research project in healthcare research. As well as being interested in pursuing an academic/clinical academic path at Bone & Joint Health, QMUL.
About the School/Department/Institute/Project
The Blizard Institute was established in 2003 and is one of six Institutes within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, QMUL. The Institute comprises approximately 360 staff based in four academic Centres and one Public Engagement Centre and supports a combined total of c700 postgraduate research and taught students. The Institute aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service.
