Agricultural and Environmental systems are facing unprecedented challenges in nutrient management. Development of sustainable fertilization management is intimately connected with our ability to effectively, efficiently, and timely measure plant nutrients in soil and water. Farmers all over the world urgently need solutions to efficiently manage fertilization while protecting the environment.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate to join our innovative SoilSensor project team, perfect for a technically minded person looking to gain hands-on experience in sensors for agricultural application.
The Project
The CERES LinCam funded project SoilSensor, aims to develop commercial opportunities for a hand-held, user-friendly sensor for measurement of key plant nutrients. The project has a chemistry and an engineering strand working in unison in developing a sensor that will be fit-for-purpose and eventually result in a spin out.
