We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join a research project funded by an EPSRC grant.

The position is offered on a fixed-term basis until 31 January 2029, with a maximum duration of 36 months (3yrs), and is full-time.

Reporting to Prof. Gesine Reinert, the post holder will be a member of a research group with responsibility for carrying out research on identifying statistical properties of AI procedures through the lens of topology and geometry, employing ideas from Stein’s method and conformal prediction. The post holder will also provide guidance to junior members of the research group including project students and PhD students. 

Applicants will have, or be close to completing a PhD in a relevant field and possess relevant experience, in the area of probability or statistical machine learning. They will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publication, present research proposals and results, and represent the research group at meetings.
