We are seeking to appoint an Head of Procurement – Departmental Services, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and management of a defined portfolio of the University’s procurement activities across specific departments. You will be a member of the Procurement Services Senior Management Team and provide expert and authoritative procurement advice to senior stakeholders across the University.
The Head of Procurement – Departmental Services will develop and implement procurement strategies aligning them with the University’s overall procurement strategy and strategic goals. The post holder will have an excellent ability to develop and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders and external groups. You will be fundamental in leading and inspiring the team to deliver an outstanding procurement service to internal and external stakeholders.
The role will require a resilient, and continuous improvement orientated leader, able to interpret and manage the impact of statutory and funding obligations as well as compliant Procurement policies. This will include cultural change in line with the vision and values of the department and University, in particular ensuring inclusion, diversity and equality.
