This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative partnership between the University of the West of England (UWE) and Service Robotics Limited (SRL) under the UK Government sponsored Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme. The position is a 24-month fixed term contract, which includes business skills training provided by the national KTP programme and a further £2k per annum dedicated training budget tailored towards your personal development.
Service Robotics was set up in 2017 to develop technology-based services that harness the benefits of the robotics revolution to ease the burden of care and to help improve the lives of the British public. With a passion for providing accessible, inclusive and people-centred care for those who need it, Service Robotics have developed care services based on GenieConnect®, a companion robot which uses advanced technology to enhance the support provided to people in social care.
With specialist support from the College of Arts, Technology and Engineering academic team and the College of Health, Science and Society at UWE Bristol, you will lead on a 24-month project where you will evolve and extend the capabilities of SRL’s GenieConnect® robot companion technology, to incorporate proactive AI-led personalised services and care, automated recommendations, and anomaly detection. The project aims to improve efficiency of social care delivery, reduce demand on carers, reduce digital exclusion and improve care outcomes.
