Background
The Research Delivery team, part of the College of Medicine & Health, Research Office, is a vibrant hub for Professional Service staff (over 80 staff) supporting high-value, strategically important projects and programmes. We work closely with both Professional Services colleagues and Academics across the University and partner organisations, particularly NHS colleagues, to maximise the impact of funded research, much of which has direct patient relevance. The portfolio of research supported is wide ranging (https://www.birmingham.ac.uk/research/medical-dental/index.aspx), including a large portfolio of large-scale research programmes and infrastructure awards funded by charities, government, industry and other major health research funders.
Role Summary
A number of high-value projects and programmes have been awarded and Birmingham is taking a national leadership role in driving transformative health research and clinical innovation, including in the field of medicines manufacturing skills. We are seeking ambitious individuals to support the management and development of educational and research provision, working in a UK consortium (RESILIENCE UK Medicines Manufacturing Skills Centre of Excellence - https://www.resilience-skills.com/), in collaboration with senior academics and Professional Services colleagues, both internally and externally, the role will enable the delivery of high-quality training and outreach, spanning the entire career pipeline for industry, academic and clinical. You will be working as part of an inclusive, supportive team, both with our academic and clinical leaders and our external partners, regionally, nationally and globally. There are wide-ranging opportunities for personal development, and we welcome those with relevant experience not in a traditional academic setting.
