Description of Post

The postholder will be a part time, ATU regional project coordinator for the EU iMPROVE project, responsible for supporting the Project Administrative Coordination in the delivery of ATU contractual responsibilities to the funding body.  

The JANUS (HPC,AI & Emerging Technologies) research group at ATU are seeking a highly motivated part time regional project coordinator for the EU iMPROVE project, responsible for supporting the Project Administrative Coordination in the delivery of ATU contractual responsibilities to the funding body.  

iMPROVE is a €10.1M EU PEACEPLUS funded cross-border project with multiple partners, led by Ulster University, which seeks to implement and deliver specialist personalised medicine and person-centric care to improve prescribing safety for 10,000 people living with health conditions in the rural and urban communities of Northwest Ireland and Tayside in Scotland. People taking part in the research project will undergo a 6 or 12-month intervention for optimisation of prescribed medicines using an innovative disruptive primary care and community-based approach.  

Please note: The postholder will be based at the ATU Donegal, Letterkenny Campus.

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree, or a higher degree, in a health-related or management discipline.
  • Project coordination experience with clear evidence of successful delivery against project objectives.
  • Experience of report writing including management plans and roadmaps.
  • Experience of networking and initiating collaborations across industry, charities, academic, healthcare and funding agencies.
  • Experience of monitoring targets, metrics and evaluating performance.
  • Experience of coordinating and monitoring the effects of project impact.
  • A working knowledge of the healthcare setting.
  • Results focused, with ability to deliver against objectives and to work on own initiative.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, project management tools and the effective use of social media for communication and dissemination.
  • Experience of operating in a fast-paced environment and to tight deadlines.
  • Management skills that demonstrate the ability to lead and contribute to a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including highly developed negotiation skills and the ability to maintain effective and productive relationships with a wide range of key stakeholders.
  • Effective report writing skills.
  • Budget Management and reporting
  • Experience of data management in compliance with GDPR requirements.
  • Willingness to travel as required by the post.

Desirable

  • Project management qualifications.
  • Experience in co-ordinating large-scale multi-institutional research project or public-private partnership.
  • Experience of working in a research focused environment
