About the role
As a Change Manager you will be joining Imperial at an exciting time. Our Strategic Programmes and Change Team is expanding as it leads change activities across a range of programmes at Imperial. Imperial is recognised worldwide for being at the forefront of education and research and, at the foundations of our academic excellence, our professional staff play an essential role.
Your focus will be on the people and cultural aspects of change and you will be involved in improving our organisational agility to adapt and respond to change as we progress our new Imperial strategy.
You will be supporting an ambitious piece of work to replace Imperial’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and deliver improved HR, Finance and post-award Research services. For this programme, you will prepare, equip, and support individuals and teams moving through changes, ensure business readiness, and help staff to move from the ‘current state’ to the ‘future state’, alongside implementing reviews to ensure changes are both successful and embedded.
What you would be doing
The Change Manager is accountable for delivery of the change activity related to the ERP Programme.
The role focusses on ensuring change management activities for the relevant workstreams are delivered successfully and in a timely manner. You will also carry out change impact assessments and contribute to the development of the change management plan, communications and engagement strategies, organisational readiness assessments, benefits and success realisation plans. You will manage specific organisational relationships, as well as co-ordinating change champions (or similar) in those areas. As part of a wider change team, you will together align the change management effort across the organisation.
At the individual level, you will be managing personal transitions, communicating, diagnosing gaps, identifying the actions needed to help staff transition to the future state together with preparing sponsors and managers for their roles in supporting those transitions.
