IT and AV Officer

The School of Anthropology & Museum Ethnography (SAME) is looking for a proactive IT & A/V Officer to support its teaching and research activity. This is an interesting and varied role in which you will be involved both in the planning of upgrades and service improvements and in providing first and second line IT and A/V support to all staff and students. 

You will be a key member of the SAME's team, working closely with SAME’s Senior IT Officer and liaising with the University’s IT Services and A/V team. You will keep abreast of latest technological developments in both IT & A/V, and advise on appropriate IT & A/V set up for SAME, taking a lead role in setting up new equipment. You will be a first point of contact for all IT & A/V enquiries and will carry out incident resolutions, escalating issues as necessary to external contractors or other appropriate support, ensuring repairs are completed in a timely manner, and with as little disruption as possible, taking users into account.

You will have demonstrable technical knowledge, a proactive approach, excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff. You will pride yourself on providing a high level of customer service.
