The opportunity
Are you a highly-skilled qualified accountant with experience in financial accounting or auditing? University of the Arts London (UAL) is seeking a Financial Accountant (Subsidiaries) to play a key role within our Accounting Services team.
The Accounting Services team leads on the delivery of statutory and regulatory financial reporting as well as managing audit and corporation tax compliance for the group. The team also supports the delivery of the University strategy by advising and supporting on financial implications, impact and treatment of key areas of focus and decision making.
As part of this high-performing function, you will be responsible for statutory financial reporting, financial accounting, and the tax affairs of UAL Short Courses Limited, and other subsidiaries.

About you
You will possess a CCAB recognised professional accounting qualification, along with strong technical accounting knowledge of UK financial reporting standards and a good working knowledge of financial reporting systems.
In addition to this, you will need previous experience of working in a fast-moving financial environment, including experience of working with large data sets and experience of accounting and financial reporting in accordance with UK GAAP.
As a strong IT user, you will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel. Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills will also be essential for success in this role.
