An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Operations Team in the Institute of Health & Neurodevelopment (IHN), a University Research Institute in the College of Health and Life Sciences.
You will be responsible for providing full administrative support to academic research in the Institute as well as supporting the health clinics operating out of IHN. Aston Institute of Health and Neurodevelopment (IHN) has a child-focused research programme that delivers a new understanding of development and disease and the interventions that will make a difference. Aston University Imaging is an integral part of IHN and provides clinical and commercial MRI and MEG scanning services (https://www.aston.ac.uk/research/hls/ihn).
Operating IHN reception with the IHN Clinics Administrator you must have outstanding customer service skills. You will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, research participants and students contacting and visiting IHN. You will be responsible for liaising with IHN academic and clinical staff, NHS Trust personnel, commercial partners, and consultants to respond to enquiries, manage appointments, and ensure the smooth running of the research and clinics. You will also be involved in servicing the Research Management meetings which can include creating agendas, taking detailed notes and writing minutes.
Educated to A level or equivalent, with at least a Grade C in GCSE Maths and English, you will have substantial administrative experience within the higher education or healthcare sector. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for the role, along with the ability to work without close supervision.
This role is campus based, with some flexibility to work from home, and working hours are fixed around core research and clinic hours.
