In line with the continuing expansion of the School of Maritime Science, the University of Gibraltar is seeking an experienced individual to serve as the Head of School (Maritime Science). The Maritime School is one of four academic schools at the University and currently delivers two undergraduate academic awards and a recently launched postgraduate award.
This exciting role provides leadership and direction for the School of Maritime Science and has responsibility for defining and managing the portfolio of offerings of the School. A relatively new School, this post provides a unique opportunity to continue to shape the future of the Maritime School in a vibrant international setting.
The School works closely with the University Maritime Academy to ensure exceptional graduate outcomes, expansion of the School’s reach and the best possible student experience.
We are looking for a skilled communicator, with proven leadership experience within the Maritime Industry and Higher Education (preferably within a UK setting). A forward-thinking attitude able to take advantage of the changing dynamics in the Maritime industry, combined with exceptional people and management skills are necessary for this position.
