This is an exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to join Research and Impact Services (R&IS), a vibrant department that provides a vital contribution in supporting Warwick’s internationally leading research endeavours.
R&IS is seeking a Research Governance and Quality Assurance Manager – based in a well- established research governance team, working collegiately to provide essential support for research governance, ethics and integrity across the University. The role has responsibility for the operation of the University’s Research Ethics and Sponsorship Committees, with oversight of a large variety of interesting and ground-breaking research studies and trials. The role will have the opportunity to shape institutional research governance policies, processes, training, and guidance, taking a leading role in the team to develop and manage these.

This role will provide advice and guidance to all levels of researcher, support Committee Chairs and members, and develop policies and processes to facilitate the effective delivery of ethics and governance. You should therefore have a collaborative approach and a proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
You will have a good honours degree, or equivalent and have substantial experience working in a hospital, university or similar research ethics and governance environment. You will have an understanding of relevant legislation and be able to operationalise this and communicate the requirements effectively to researchers. You are a highly motivated, committed team member who can demonstrate an ability to lead, plan and manage initiatives, and work flexibly and accurately under pressure.
