Mary Immaculate College (MIC) is an autonomous, university-level, Catholic College of Education and the Liberal Arts. Founded in 1898, and linked academically with the University of Limerick, MIC is the oldest higher education institution in Limerick. Mary Immaculate College wishes to appoint an Assistant Professor in Education with Expertise in Philosophy of Education on a Full-Time, Permanent basis.

The Department of Learning, Society, and Religious Education is seeking an innovative and resourceful member to teach on Education programmes within the Faculty of Education. The person appointed will have duties in the area of Philosophy of Education (including Ethical, Multi-belief and Values Education). They will have general duties also in the area of education, e.g. supervision of school placement, etc. Commitment to high-quality teaching and learning in a student-centred environment is important. Enthusiasm for a multi-disciplinary environment is desired. The person appointed must exhibit evidence of strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research as well as continued scholarly activity.
