The Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM) is enabling a world of possibilities for all children. The PSQM professional development programme enables primary school leaders to transform the lives and future trajectory of children by developing their scientific literacy, equipping them with a deeper understanding of science and its importance in everyday life. The programme equips science subject leaders to make a positive and lasting impact on science teaching and learning.

Main duties and responsibilities

The role is responsible for the oversight of all programme systems, including the VLE, CRM, SharePoint and website. The post holder will be responsible for leading maintenance, development and training on these systems and for ensuring our stakeholders experience is positive, so a strong ethos of customer service is essential.

As PSQM continues to grow and evolve, it is vital for the programme to develop internal data reporting and analysis to support management decision-making. This will include using tools to extract data from our systems to support timely feedback on the PSQM programme – to identify impact, to support Quality Assurance and to ensure continuous improvement. Alongside this, the post holder will also be responsible for providing qualitative and quantitative reports on impact for both internal and external stakeholders.

As part of a small team, the role holder will be involved in all aspects of the programme and will support other members of the team during business-critical periods.

Skills and experience required

This role requires a high level of initiative and the ability to work independently, as well as sound understanding of handling confidential and sensitive material, systems and data management.

Experience in implementing data collection processes and the ability to be able to report on the information gathered from these is essential.  Alongside this, a self-motivated, forward-thinking and problem-solving approach are essential, with the ability to find solutions to complex challenges.

Experience of using systems, leading processes and/or implementing new developments e.g. CRM and Virtual Learning Environment

The role requires the ability to work under pressure towards strict deadlines and the flexibility and ability to effectively work within a small team to deliver a quality service.

Qualifications required

Degree, or equivalent qualification, or proven professional work experience is desirable.
