Euro University of Bahrain (“EUB”) invites applications for permanent, full-time academic position at the level of Lecturer (equivalent to Assistant Professor) beginning in September 2025 in the following college:

  • College of Law

The candidate must demonstrate the ability to deliver excellent teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in their field of expertise, as well as a commitment to student-centred education and meaningful knowledge exchange activities.

As EUB is a recently established, ambitious university, the successful candidate will have ample opportunities to play a key role in further developing the university’s academic offerings and fostering links between EUB’s collaborations in Europe, particularly with the University of London.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE COLLEGE OF LAW:

The successful candidate shall meet the criteria listed below:

  • Candidate must hold a PhD in Law from a recognised university and demonstrate the ability to deliver excellent law teaching at the undergraduate level.
  • Preference will be given to candidate with at least one British qualifying degree or experience teaching Common law courses or legal practice experience in a Common law jurisdiction.
  • Specialisation in Private Law and the ability to teach one or more of the following English law modules are advantages: Property Law, Equity and Trust, Jurisprudence, Legal System and Method.

  1. Curriculum Vitae detailing prior teaching experience and containing a list of publications if any.
  2. A detailed cover letter summarising the motivations for applying for the role.
  3. Separate statement indicating how the applicant meets the job requirements as set out in the job descriptor and person specification.
  4. Names and contact details of three referees. Please indicate if EUB can contact each of them prior to or only after the interview takes place.

Unfortunately, any application not containing all four elements listed above or submitted via other means (besides via email as specified) cannot be considered.
