The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to investigate the regulation of mucosal immune responses to infection, focusing on cellular immunology readouts.
Our group focuses on the balance between protective immunity and immune pathology, in the context of infection and co-infection. The specific aim of this position will be to define key signals that control the metabolism and function of immune cells at sites of infection including the gut and lung. Our experimental models include helminth and bacterial pathogens of the intestine (H. polygyrus, Salmonella species) and viral and bacterial pathogens of the lung (Influenza A Virus, Staph. aureus).
This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week).
